New Thing of the Day: Day 3

A liquid foundation that I got from Saizen, a Japanese store here in the Philippines. What a bargain! Still haven't used it though. I will as soon as I get out of the house.

New Thing of the Day: Day 2

Elianto Vibrant Eyeshadow in Wine Red. The flash of my camera washed out the colors but it's very, well, vibrant. I love Elianto eyeshadows because they're so pigmented like that of MAC's but cheaper! Elianto products are made in Korea.

New Thing of the Day: Day 1

Oh man, this is such a random blog and I know this is gonna suck.

Well, as the title of this blog says "New Thing of the Day," it is, in fact, without a doubt, a post where I show you my new thing that I just got today. How brilliant. Not really.

I went to the mall today and got this cute ring.

"cute ring"

 close-up shot. amazing.

I wish I labeled my HP scarf my New Thing of the Day: Day 1 instead. Laaame.

Who is your favorite Death Eater?

I've never really thought about it but, even though they are villains in the Harry Potter series, you've got to have a favorite, at least one.

Death Eaters, if you haven't heard already, are the followers of the Dark Lord aka Lord Voldemort aka Tom Marvolo Riddle. Seriously, how many names does Voldy have. J.K. Rowling is such a genius. I mean, can you honestly think of a better term to call the loyal servants of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? I didn't think so.

There are a number of Death Eaters, some who are very honored to be a part of it, like Bellatrix Lestrange of course, and some who are just scared that's why they're a part of it, Draco Malfoy for example. I know he's just a new recruit at the start of the 6th book but he still has the Dark Mark upon his left forearm so yeah, that makes him a Death Eater nonetheless.

Well, I'm not going to mention every Death Eater. That'll take me forever. Maybe not entirely true but I have no interest in the others.

There's Bellatrix. So loyal and loves Voldy so dearly.

Of course we wouldn't miss Wormtail. The one who turned over the Potters to Voldemort out of cowardice.

The "double agent" Death Eater who played both of his parts very well indeed. Voldemort thought Snape was loyal to him but in fact his loyalty lies within Dumbledore.

Draco Malfoy who was forced to become a Death Eater because if he didn't become one, Voldemort would kill him and his family. Terrible, I know.

But I think Lucius is my favorite among the Death Eaters. He has got class and for me, he is practically royalty. Look at that pose. He is inexplicably terrifying and, not to mention, handsome. Who wouldn't want a Death Eater like that? LOL

And this post has ended. I hope you could share me your points-of-view about the Death Eaters. Who is your favorite? :)

I'll Slap Myself Silly...

... if I say I miss this part of my life. I think if I said that in a few months or years time, I would definitely have my brain checked and forcefully bump my head on a wall until I collapse. Sounds harsh, I know, but I really don't think I'll miss this 'time' of my life right now.

Everything feels horrible and the only thing that keeps me going are the people whom I love, like my family and friends who supported me and still are, to face this cruel, cruel world of ours. Actually, the world isn't the one who is cruel, but the people in it. Some of them are and, sadly enough, you cannot dodge them all the time.

Why can't just people get along? Don't judge, don't hate. If I've done something wrong, teach me how to make it right. I'm only human, therefore, I make mistakes. I'm not perfect, I'm not a machine or a robot programmed to do every thing right.

A Present From Me To Me

Look! A Harry Potter scarf with the logo of Hogwarts, each corner represented by the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff.

I got this at my local department store SM at the kids' section. Haha. Don't judge.

It has a variety of colors but I chose this green one 'cause it's my favorite color and mainly because the red one was out-of-stock.

I am definitely loving this one right now. Can't wait to wear it!

Nails!

Ever since I was little, I've been very fascinated with nail polishes. Not until this year that I decided to step up my game and started making simple nail art on my nails. Here are some nail art that I've done in the past: (This isn't a tutorial since I didn't take pictures of the step-by-step procedure.)

This is probably the simplest one I've made. I call this design "Bleeding Black & Yellow." Inspired by my old alma Mater, University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Not really sure what to call this one since this is a mess. Maybe "Hot Mess" would be fine. I only just realized now that this one is really ugly. I mean, really.

This is really simple as well. It's just a basic french tip with gold glitter liner. And look at my pinky, looks like I was bleeding lol. But that's just the previous polish that I didn't get to remove properly.

Now this one is one of my favorites. It's not necessarily a rainbow nail art since it doesn't represent the seven colors, ROY-G-BIV. But it is the closest one I've got. And surprisingly, this is quite easy to achieve. I think I saw a video on Youtube with almost the same nail art. Go search it on Youtube.

And that is all for now. Why don't you show some of your nail art and share to nail polish addicts like me? :)

The Vampire Diaries S02E09: Katerina

I'm gonna tell you again: SPOILER ALERT!!!

So here I am again, talking about the latest episode of the Vampire Diaries. I don't have much to say about this episode, mainly because I didn't like it that much. It involved a lot of Katherine's past, not that I'm not interested in that, it's just that I think I'm more interested with the things that are happening, not the things that happened, if you know what I mean.

I'm not gonna tell the story this time, instead I'll just say here what I thought about what happened in the episode.

Some disappointments:
  1. Tyler was not in this episode - Well, maybe it wasn't his episode. Maybe he'll have his own ep soon but I was so eagerly waiting on what will happen to him... and maybe Caroline too.
  2. Damon slept with Rose - Although I knew that was bound to happen sooner or later, I just didn't expect it to be sooner.
  3. Elena helped (sort of) Katherine - I think it was stupid of Elena to do such a thing. But it happened and she did what she had to. Oh well, life goes on.
Interesting points:
  1. New warlock in town - Yup, you guessed it. A male witch. Not sure if he's good or evil. We'll just have to find out.
  2. Damon's hot body - Oops. Well it is supposed to be here. ;)

The Vampire Diaries S02E08

SPOILER ALERT!!!

This will be my first review of the series even though I've been watching it since the Pilot episode last year. Okay, well, maybe this isn't really a review but more of what I think is going to happen. Mainly, I just want to blog about The Vampire Diaries for the first time so give me a break. And I think, from now on, I will blog weekly about the aired episode and give my thoughts about it. One more thing, before I begin, I want to point out that if you don’t watch the series, please skip this blog and move on to other posts. Thank you.

The 8th episode of Season 2, titled “Rose,” aired last Thursday night November 4, 2010. Rose is a new vampire character who’s been running away from “The Originals,” along with his friend Trevor, who is, also, you guessed it, a vampire, for more than 500 years. They were the ones who kidnapped Elena from the masquerade ball the night before. Of course, the Salvatore brothers knew soon enough of Elena’s whereabouts with a little help from Bonnie, they immediately hopped on a car and drove to save the damsel in distress.

Although there is still a lot of stuff I didn’t mention, I don’t want to completely fill this blog with the summary of the episode. I am, however, really interested on what will happen between Caroline and Tyler’s relationship. The connection between them is getting stronger but I still don’t know if that will be positive or negative. Now that Tyler knows Caroline is a vampire, he still doesn’t know, nevertheless, that a werewolf’s bite can kill her, instead he knows, as of the moment, that the only one he can trust and lean to is Caroline herself. But Caroline knows this and although I think she is trying to help him, she can also turn this around. We all know since the very beginning she became a vampire, she doesn’t want any werewolves lurking around Mystic Falls. But if their relationship turns out to be romantic, they’re both going to have a hard time about it.

On to Jeremy and Bonnie’s relationship, there is definitely something going on between the two, if not, there will be something soon. What’s better than dating you sister’s witch best friend? Maybe that’s what Jeremy’s thinking. Although I think they’re a match made in heaven, I don’t think they’re going to last. No specific reason whatsoever, I just think they won’t.

Now, on to the last and most crucial relationship I want to tackle: Damon and Elena’s. This latest episode, there are a few but excruciatingly painful scenes among the two. The first one was when Damon thought Elena was going to run to him, hug him and such but he thought wrong when Stefan came to the picture and Elena hugged him instead. You can absolutely see the reaction of Damon and know that his heart was ripped into pieces. Trying not to let Elena see that, he just smiled and mouthed “You’re welcome” to her after she said thank you. It was devastating. The second scene was at the ending and I can’t even begin on how to explain the emotions I felt during the time I was watching it. I have to admit that I did cry after watching that scene for the first time. And I cried again after the second time and also the third time. It was crazy and agonizing. Damon finally confessed to Elena that he loves him, but that’s not the sad part, he also compelled her to forget everything he just said.
