Last Post for 2010

As we countdown the hours until 2010 is over, I'm going to put up one more blog post until the countdown is over.

Whenever I go to the mall or at the supermarket, I always find myself being asked by a lady if my nails are fake, which is a compliment since they find my nail art good and they think that it's impossible to be done by any human hand, let alone, my own hands.

So the answer is no. My nail art is very simple and can be done just about by anyone. If it weren't simple, I couldn't have done it.

As you can see, stripes are my favorite simple design. It's cute, chic, and very easy to achieve! All you need is a striping brush, and you're all set to create thin & thick stripes.

That is it for now and see you next year (that'll be in less than 24 hours)!

xoxo,
Dianne

New Year's Resolution

Tomorrow will be New Year's eve and I think I've decided my resolution for 2011. This blog of mine isn't really reaching a lot of people and I don't expect it to. I mean, what the hell is this blog? No one cares about it but myself since this is a personal blog.

My resolution for 2011 is to post more blogs here. In that way, more people will be able to view my blog. I'm also going to do this for my other blog which is centered on Hollywood updates.

And this is such a short blog post but there's no much to say, or write. Wishing you a all Happy New Year! Stay safe.

To God be the glory,

Dianne

A Face is a Canvas

I haven't worn make up, not until I was 16 or 17 years old and back then, I had no idea how. The very first make up I wore was probably eyeliner on my waterline since the "emo" trend started during that time.

Then I learned of Michelle Phan, a make up guru on Youtube. She wasn't very famous back then, she was just this typical asian-american girl who was filming from her bathroom how to put on her own  makeup. I learned a lot from her.

I'm just a bit surprised that there are also a lot of people who seem to hate her. And from my perspective, her haters are just digging out her flaws and making a big deal out of it. And may I call her haters "obsessed haters?" They criticize everything Michelle does. It's kind of funny, actually. I mean, if you hate someone so much, why would you bother wasting your time with that person? Watching her videos and pointing out grammar mistakes, spelling, and other stuff like that. Also, pointing out that Michelle supports companies that test their products on animals like Lancome. Michelle cannot do anything about that. Lancome chose her as their spokesperson and who in the right mind would want to turn that down?

A lot of companies test their products on animals. I'm not saying I'm anti-animal but I think it's better to test those products out first than putting them out in the market not being tested at all.

Okay, I lost direction with this blog. I didn't mean to talk about Michelle, it just sort of got in the way. lol

Anyway, about make up, now I can say that I'm good with it. Not great, but good. I actually can't go out without wearing make up. I don't wear make up to make me look pretty, I wear it because I can use my artistry with it. Make up is the only thing that I'm good at when it comes to art. Like any artist, make up is a good way to express yourself, to bring out your creativity. Treat your face like a canvas and experiment. Looking good is just the bonus side to it.

Actually, this post should be labeled "New things of the Day." I got nail polishes today! 6 polishes in total. Unfortuantely, no swatches. Might do some soon when I have the time.

More photos and info after the jump!

Christmas Wish (Top Priority!)

I need a new pair of headphones since my old one broke. Ugh. It's so frustrating. I hate going to work without any music on.

Pretty please buy me a new pair!

I don't care about the brand, as long as the sound of the headphones is good, then it will do!

Favorite Movies to watch during Christmas Season?

When Christmas is just around the corner, I immediately think of movies that will strengthen the holiday season. And for me, there's no Christmas spirit than watching these 3 films:

1. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
This is the best to watch during Christmas season. It will make you laugh and cry at the same time!

2. The Polar Express (2004)
When I saw this film, the spirit of Christmas deep inside me became stronger. The scene where the bell rings only for those who still believe really got me. I do believe and will always do.

3. The Sound of Music (1965)
I know this isn't really a Christmas flick but all those singing and dancing just makes you feel like it's Christmas!

Hope you enjoy watching these! If you have any Christmas flicks to suggest, feel free to comment! :)

New Thing of the Day: Day 5

Maybelline Eye Studio Hyper Diamonds in GY-1

Since I'm too lazy to take swatches, then I won't. Might post photos when I use it though. I don't wanna use it just yet, I'm cheap like that. Haha.

But I promise you, it's super pigmented and glittery, you're gonna look like Edward Cullen. Get it? Because Edward Cullen sparkles. Haha. *crickets* Um, okay well maybe you're not gonna look like Cullen boy but you're definitely going to love this Hyper Diamonds series.

Waiting for the Angel of Death

Have you ever thought about who would cry at your funeral? I have many, many times.

I feel like such a worthless piece of life living here in our cruel world that I begin to wonder who would actually care for me. Who would anyway? I've never inspired or touched someone's life. I have a few circle of friends but I don't think they'd really cry on my funeral. And then, there's my family. Surely my mom would cry, and well, maybe that's it. Workmates? Hmm.. I don't think so. I think they would rather celebrate.

If people don't like me, that's fine with me. I just want myself to be happy for ME. I'd do anything to be happy. Buy a couple of material things that'll make me feel exuberantly happy but I need lots of cash first. Okay, depressed again at the thought of being moneyless.

The time now is 2:12am here in Manila. I haven't gone to bed because I'm too depressed to sleep but I do hope I won't wake up in the morning. It will be a peaceful death and really will be goodbye sunshine.

New Thing of the Day: Day 3

A liquid foundation that I got from Saizen, a Japanese store here in the Philippines. What a bargain! Still haven't used it though. I will as soon as I get out of the house.

New Thing of the Day: Day 2

Elianto Vibrant Eyeshadow in Wine Red. The flash of my camera washed out the colors but it's very, well, vibrant. I love Elianto eyeshadows because they're so pigmented like that of MAC's but cheaper! Elianto products are made in Korea.
