The Skin Food Nail Polish

I believe that I cannot live without nail polish in this world. It's insane! I might be even more addicted to nail polishes than make up. I've been painting since I was a kid, like 5-6 years old. Believe it or not.

So I got this polish last December, haven't used it since. I'm not sure what this color is called just because it's in Korean and I can't read Korean, obviously.

Job hunting

"I'll start looking for jobs after the Oscars." That's what I said.

Sure enough, after the Oscars, I got a few calls from companies that I applied online. So grateful about that, but to tell you the truth, managing job interviews is an exhausting task.

I had to turn down a few interviews just because I didn't think I like the companies enough. Some, I didn't get a chance to answer my phone, which is a bummer. I'll never know which companies called. Some have booked me interviews on the same day at the same time. This is where the exhausting part comes in. I'd have to choose which one and then if I'm interested in both jobs, I lie to the other one telling them that I can't make it; that something came up. And then I'd ask them if they could reschedule the interview for me. And this one company considered rescheduling but again, the company that I prioritize called me back and told me to have another round of exams the same day the other company rescheduled me.

Basically, this is still going on. I haven't called the company that rescheduled me, or texted even, regarding the situation. I'm in a dilemma.

HELP.

Skins 5

Skins series 5 (3rd generation)

I've been watching Skins 5 lately and at first I thought it would suck since this is a new generation (new cast, basically), the 3rd generation after series 1-2 (1st generation) & series 3-4 (2nd generation). Surprisingly enough, it didn't suck and it was actually pretty good. Of course not as good as the first four series but it's still addicting. Seriously, I'm a big Skins fan and I'm actually considering myself as a Skins 'addict'.

New Thing of the Day 7: Harry Potter 2011 Planner

I went to the mall today with my mum to watch Alex Pettyfer's I Am Number Four, it was really good, extremely entertaining (maybe due to Alex's hotness), but seriously, it was. Although I'd love to rant about how cool Alex was (or hot, you pick), I'm here to rant about how I got this amazing, amazing planner.

OMG IT'S A HARRY POTTER 2011 PLANNER! It's unbelievable how I've come across this planner just now. It's already March! 2 months wasted down the drain. Although I don't use planners much, my life is so unorganized, I bought this because it will be a part of a collection. As you all know, I'm a big Harry Potter fanatic so when I saw this, I didn't even give a second thought whether or not I'd get it. Without batting an eyelash, I paid it at the counter straightaway. And right now, I'm sooo happy. I feel like I'm in paradise now that I've got this by my side. I'm going to sleep tonight with it by my side. lol err that's kinda freaky, so scratch that. :)

Here are some more photos of the planner just in case if you haven't seen it yet out in the market: (Click on the photos for higher resolution)

If you're a big Harry Potter fan like me, I recommend you buy this immediately. It'll make you chuffed!

Unemployed and Happy!

I told you about a few weeks ago that I've resigned from my work and it was effective last Saturday (February 19) but since I had no work on Saturdays, my last day was Friday. And to tell you the truth, I've never been happier. It was definitely a good decision and now I'm openings my eyes (very wide, as wide as it can go) and searching for bigger and better opportunities.

It would've been very nice if I bummed around for a month and just be a plain slacker but it's not possible since I'm broke; I definitely have to find a new job right away.

But right now, I'm very happy, extremely relieved that I felt all the boulders hanging from my shoulders have been lifted.

Eye Makeup of the Day: Feb 14

It's a colorful look great for partying, hanging out with friends, or if you just want lots of colors on your eyes. Although, this eye make up is not intended for your Valentine's date.

Why I love Short Hair

I've always been a fan of short hair just because I think it looks more edgier, funkier, has more attitude than your regular long hair. Short hair gives you more personality and makes you look in control. But of course there are stuff you can't do with short rather than long hair, like curl them or put them in a bun or do an up-do and stuff like that.

First Junior Masterchef Australia!

When I saw the plugs of Junior Masterchef Australia Season 1 on Star World, I was so amazed that 8-13-year-old kids could cook such spectacular dishes. Since I don't live in Australia, it was kind of late for me to know that they had this show. So I want online and watched every episode and wow. I was blown away. I quite envied them 'cause at my age, I can't even do half of what they were cooking. But I was so, so impressed.

Check out after the jump the top 12 and winner!

Resigned.

There you have it. I resigned from my first job last Friday and I couldn't be any happier. It's like the weight that was on my shoulders were finally lifted, I can breathe again. The feeling is just so overwhelming and I'm so proud of myself that I finally had the courage to quit.

Now, I'm waiting to see what lies ahead. I've closed this door and hopefully God opens a new one for me to enter. I know all will be well.

Plus, success is the sweetest revenge. :)

My View about the Paramore split

I know this blog is kind of late to post but I've only just had time to write about it now plus Josh Farro's announcement of having a new band just seemed to heighten my feelings towards the issue. And yeah, I'm not a part of the band but I really loved Paramore since the beginning and the split just stirred something inside me. It made me feel all queasy inside and it's not good.

So here's the deal, I love Hayley Williams, or should I say loved her. I know it's not right to take sides but sometimes you just can't help it. When I first heard about the breakup, that the Farro brothers left the band, my heart just sunk. It was clearly not good news. The brothers contributed so much to the band since they were the first members of it, especially Josh who co-wrote many songs which were all brilliant.

UST QUADRI-CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

The University of Santo Tomas, my alma mater, located here in the Philippines, just celebrated its 400th year of existence last January 28, 2010. It is the oldest university in Asia, even older than Harvard University, and I’m just so proud that I was alive to celebrate it.

I graduated only last year with a bachelor’s degree in AB Communication Arts and may I honestly say that, looking back just now, I cannot believe I graduated. Lol

I wasn’t, however, able to attend the grand celebration on the said date, January 28th, but I did go to the Quadri-centennial countdown which took place the night before. It was an awesome experience and it was definitely one of the best nights of my life. I felt so proud and so blissful along with many of my schoolmates as we watched the unveiling of the QuattroMondial monument. Undeniably a night to remember, hence, it was a day that will go down in history.

Once again, congratulations to the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, The Catholic University of the Philippines. I love you, UST.

Watch the video below for the excellent fireworks display during the celebration.

Oscars 2011 Biggest Snubs

The King's Speech is the film that received most nominations for this year's Academy Awards with a total of 12 including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. Next up is Jeff Bridges' True Grit which received 10 nominations followed closely by David Fincher's The Social Network and Christopher Nolan's Inception with both 8 nominations.

But we all know that Christopher Nolan didn't get a nod for the Best Director category for one of the biggest films last year, Inception, like any other great films he ever created (The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Memento). Another snub is actor Leonardo DiCaprio not getting a nomination for the Best Actor category for his films Shutter Island and, again, Inception.

Yet another actor not receiving any recognition is Ryan Gosling for his performance in Blue Valentine with co-star Michelle Williams who, on the other hand, was acknowledged in the Best Actress category. Mila Kunis who starred alongside Natalie Portman in the thriller Black Swan didn't receive a nod for her supporting role in the film.

Anne Hathaway as the new Catwoman

Anne Hathaway has been cast as the new Catwoman for the next Batman installment titled The Dark Knight Rises.

As you all know, I've loved Anne ever since she debuted as Princess Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries and then starred in Ella Enchanted and The Devil Wears Prada. I still think of her that way, innocent, royalty; still like a Disney princess. Then she starred in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain, but I didn't think those roles suited her. For me, she'll always be a charming, high-class lady.

Furthermore, I don't think she fits the role of Selina Kyle but who am I to say this, right? I think I'll just have to wait and see if she'll make a very convincing Catwoman. I'm not saying she's going to suck, I'm just saying that I need more persuasion to believe that she is Catwoman.

Taking a Break

As what the title says, I am taking a break from blogging mainly because I haven't come up with ideas on how to improve this blog. I did brainstorm (with myself, so sad) and I came up with some ideas but haven't really decided on what to choose.

Maybe it'll take me about 1-2 weeks before I start blogging again. And also, my internet has been acting up lately and I just can't stand horrible internet connection.

And before I leave you adieu, check out this awesome video from one of my favorite Youtubers ever, GregoryGORGEOUS. He's so funny, so fab, and so fag! I love him to bits. He's definitely a hot gay guy. lol

Going Nowhere

As of the moment, I don't know where this blog stands. I post bits of this and that, and I really don't know what my blog is all about anymore. To tell you the truth, I'm a damn lazy blogger but I just feel like continuing this blog even though it's such a mess.

So here's the problem for a simple blogger like me, I don't know what to blog about anymore. I'm running out of ideas and it's driving me insane. I need something fresh and out of the ordinary but I just can't simply put my finger to it.
