The King's Speech is the film that received most nominations for this year's Academy Awards with a total of 12 including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. Next up is Jeff Bridges' True Grit which received 10 nominations followed closely by David Fincher's The Social Network and Christopher Nolan's Inception with both 8 nominations.
But we all know that Christopher Nolan didn't get a nod for the Best Director category for one of the biggest films last year, Inception, like any other great films he ever created (The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Memento). Another snub is actor Leonardo DiCaprio not getting a nomination for the Best Actor category for his films Shutter Island and, again, Inception.
Yet another actor not receiving any recognition is Ryan Gosling for his performance in Blue Valentine with co-star Michelle Williams who, on the other hand, was acknowledged in the Best Actress category. Mila Kunis who starred alongside Natalie Portman in the thriller Black Swan didn't receive a nod for her supporting role in the film.
